Academic Technology Services' Special Event Support unit is committed to providing audio/visual consultation and full-service onsite support for a wide variety of events that require professional sound, presentation support, video, or any other special event technical needs.


Special Event Support uses a specialized microphone system for a conference of 30 people.

Special Events supports countless campus events with diverse needs, including:

ATS Special Event's service offerings range from providing audio reinforcement and distribution to news crews at a press conference, to providing sound reinforcement to 60-person panel discussions with switched video and presentation support.

Special Event Support strives to be the first point of contact for campus event Audio-Visual needs. This service provides turnkey AV support for events by providing equipment supported by onsite technicians. While Special Event Support equipment is not available for rental without an onsite technician, we understand that not all events require that level of service. For events that don’t require technical staffing, Special Event Support can provide pre-event consultation services. As a part of these consultations with event planners, ATS can assist clients with vendor selection, review quotes from off campus production vendors, and assist with coordination of complex event AV needs. Our extensive experience in live sound and video production enable us to help you present a professional event experience for your audience no matter the scale of your event.
