The UC Davis, Academic Technology Services Department maintains and makes available a very limited amount of audio visual (A/V) equipment to faculty and academic departments in support of instruction.

Availability

AV equipment is provided on a first come/first serve basis. ATS makes no express guarantee that any particular AV equipment is available. While efforts are taken to ensure equipment is current, functional and in ample supply, there are no guarantees that we will be able to meet all requests for any specific technology in every instance.

Who Can Check Out Equipment?

UC Davis faculty and departments can reserve and check out limited packages of AV equipment for instructional use or academic events. We do not rent to students or to departments for non-academic uses. Pick up/drop off times are between 8AM to 5PM, Monday-Friday (closed during the noon hour). Weekend checkout items are to be picked up before 5PM on Friday and returned on the specified day and time. Weekend rentals are charged as a two-day rental.

Ordering Equipment

Instructional discounts or no-cost equipment rental and support applies only to regularly scheduled undergraduate courses taught in one of the general assignment classrooms. CRN required for no-cost reservation. Equipment used for academic events not directly related to instruction is available at recharge rates.
Equipment is available for pickup in The Grove only, no delivery or setup is available for equipment loans. If you need a technician for your event, or if you need equipment outside of the loan pool, please contact us about our Special Event Support service.

To ensure equipment is available, orders should be placed at least 24 hours in advance of the class or event. If equipment is battery powered, equipment should be reserved 48 hours before use and picked up 24 hours before the event to allow time for charging.
