Adobe Connect ProConnect Pro is an online collaboration and communications tool It provides online meeting rooms, Webinar services, and numerous tools that provide excellent support for both instrucitonal and research teams. For example: audio/video chat in real-time, a shared electronic whiteboard, screen sharing, application sharing, polling, embedded Flash or streamed PowerPoint, and more.Service is available 24/7 every day. Animation and SimulationsServices include 2D / 3D modeling and simulations using After Effects, Flash, Maya and Unity. Animation and modeling output is available in all popular formats, including broadcast-quality and high-resolution digital video. ARTstor - (in conjunction with the Library) Programming support for ARTstor.  With ARTstor, you will be able to search for images online, save groups of images for your own use and that of your students, and create digital image presentations. Audio ProductionAudio Production services include:Narration/Voice recordings; digital audio editing/mixing; Live ISDN audio broadcasts with media outlets. (e.g. NPR, BBC, ABC etc.). AV equipment installation and supportQualified technical staff are available to develop proposals, designs, and complete installation services for state-of-the-art media system installations and upgrades in all campus facilities. Qualified technical staff are also available for consultation on instructional media equipment, systems and designs for classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, and other campus facilities.Office hours M-F 8AM - 5PM. Installations and support also take place from 6PM - 12AM$72/hr = labor rate. AV Presentation and Conference Support ServicesATS provides professional operator based AV Presentation/Audio services for example: General Audio Support, Amplifier with speakers, projection services, HD Projection, Digital audio recordings, Computer Presentation Support , Switching, audio mixing, Conference Support and more.Office hours are M-F 8AM - 5PM. Classroom hotlineThe Classroom Hotline is a service designed to provide fast technical support for faculty having difficulty with any media equipment or service in a general assignment classrooms. The Hotline dispatches a team member to the classroom arriving within minutes, getting the lecture back on track with minimal disruption. Separate technical support for media equipment in department/ division classrooms is available and performed on a recharge basis. Computer ClassroomsATS supports 11 computer classrooms where the Registrar is able to schedule regular classes. When classes are not in session, these rooms can be booked for events requiring a computer classroom environment e.g. a hands-on training session for a conference.Open hours vary. Course Content delivery / Online Presentation (Streamed or standalone)IET-ATS uses Adobe Presenter to synchronize video, audio, and powerpoint slides to create learning modules that are searchable (on the Powerpoint text) and includes the ability to offer text files of the audio. Sample uses range from a single event such as a guest speaker that the university would like to capture and make available, to taking course lectures and putting them online. Some faculty use this to provide additional opportunities for students to learn difficult concepts. One additional advantage of creating course content this way is that it prevents downloading or copying of copyrighted or copyrightable materials by students.M-F 8AM - 5PMAvailable on a 90/10 cost-sharing basis (10% faculty/dept., 90% IET-ATS) for instructional use with verification; or 100% recharge for non-instructional use. $77.50/hr labor rate. Illustration and graphic designOur Graphics unit provides both illustration and graphic designs and services. Illustrations can be used in slide shows, PowerPoint presentations, poster sessions, and publications. Meyer Media LabThe Meyer Media Lab is the main general access media production computer lab on the UC Davis campus. Open Access Computer LabsATS supports 6 open access computer labs that have available PC and/or Mac computers, applications, media software and printing services. These labs are provided primarily for students, however they are available to faculty and staff. Open hours vary. Photography and digital imaging servicesScanning of prings and 35MM slides. Capturing clients' artwork, books, articles, x-ray images or 35MM slides digitally for archival work, PowerPoint presentations, or other digital uses. Professional photographic services, both in-studio and on location, using digital camera technology and production techniques. Typical assignments include faculty portraits, class and departmental photo composites, scientific and research documentation, and news and public communication assignments.Office hours are M-F 8AM - 5PM. Photographer can be booked for hours outside 8-5.Photography services are available on a recharge basis only. Costs Vary dependent on the service. Podcasting25 of the largest general assignment classrooms have MP3 recorders in them. Faculty must have their own flash memory cards to use this service. In addition, faculty can use their own MP3 recorders to create a digital audio file. Digital audio files can be podcast via three mechanisms: The campus podcasting service which offers subscription; iTunesU which is intended primarily for public use, but can also be used for instruction; SmartSite, which allows faculty to associate podcasts with their course content.Faculty/staff can upload audio files to campus podcasting system or SmartSite themselves, 24/7. PrintingBlack and white printing within computer rooms or from wireless. Color printing in 1131 &ammp; 1154 Meyer, 1101 & 1102 Hart and 75 &ammp; 93 Hutchison. B&W printing is available in all open access labs and computer classrooms. Color is available in Meyer Media Lab (1154 Meyer), 1131 Meyer, 1101 Hart, 1102 Hart, 75 Hutchison, and 93 Hutchison. SmartSiteSmartSite is UC Davis' learning management system that is used for both instructional sites and project/research sites. You can set up resources (e.g. files, websites etc.), assignments, an e-mail list, tests and quizzes, gradebook, and other tools in advance, and set some components to time-release as needed. Specialized programming for InstructionProgramming for learning modules, such as flash pre-lab learning modules, or simulation of scientific concepts. Training / Faculty SupportThe Faculty Support Group provides training to Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students, either individually or in groups.  We deliver training to Undergrad students as well, but the need/ opportunity seldom arise. We also provide these services to organizations that are not part of the core campus community, including Med Center, Field Stations, University Extention, Vet Med, etc. on a recharge basis.M-F, 9AM-5PM or by appointmentFree to faculty, staff and students on campus. Video Conferencing and Distance LearningUse of a meeting room, a classroom and/or portable equipment for conferences, meetings, interviews, etc. Video Conferencing allows face to face communication to anywhere in the world where there is Video Conference equipment. Distance learning allows courses taught on campus to be delivered locally, nationally, or internationally to larger, more diverse audiences. These simultaneous broadcasts link classrooms without regard to location and may be interactive or tape-delivered for a later rebroadcast.M-F 8AM - 5PM - office hours. Web Development Services

ATS is partnering with The Data Center and Reprographics to provide the campus with a broad spectrum of web development and web hosting services. This service will include: Campus' Web CMS, migration to Campus CMS, UCDHS CMS, static website development, dynamic web development, development of (non-enterprise level) web applications, 'smart' web surveys, and web hosting.M-F, 8am - 5pm by appointment Available only on a fully recharge basis. WebcastingWe provide both live or on-demand transmission of video content over the Internet. ATS uses real-time encoders and streaming media technology to take a single content source and distribute it to many simultaneous listeners/viewers. Popular formats include Real, QuickTime and Windows Media.Office hours M-F 8AM - 5PM, webcasts can be scheduled outside of the office hours$1/Gb per bandwidth served - based on bandwidth total. This is calculated by the length of the program, how many people view it, and the length of time it is viewed by each individual.
