Podcasting

The University of California, Davis offers podcasting services to all instructors and campus affiliated organizations. Digital audio recording equipment has been installed in several lecture halls and portable digital recorders are available through Academic Technology Service's Equipment Rental.

Webcasting

Webcasting refers to either live or on-demand transmission of video content over the Internet. ATS uses real-time encoders and streaming media technology to take a single content source and distribute it to many simultaneous listeners/viewers. Popular formats include Real, QuickTime and Windows Media.
